Two things I always do for TBBT gifs: Always use brightness/contrast (or curves) - this will make the gif clear, you use as you need.. some scenes are really dark then you need to use more of it. But not that much, otherwise the gif will look distorted. 

And use saturation - usually I create a new solid color then select the layer for saturation, change the opacity for something between 15-20% (always depend on the gif you’re making). The Big Bang Theory is a very colorful show, using this helps the gif look more cheerful.

And other layers that we use for other gifs, selective color, photo filter..

Talking about the sharpening, I always use smart sharpen, in my opnion it’s always prettier.
